Can education of parents mean healthier children? Not to badmouth the parents with low education, the fact is that they have less information about healthy living for both themselves and their children.

From the findings, we are able to find that over 14,000 kids between the ages of 9 and 2 were used to do the research. The research was done in 8 European countries: Sweden, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Estonia, Cyprus and Belgium. Both parents and children were used to collect data.

What is basically compared?

Children who had parents who had less education were seen to eat less veggies and fruits. These are some of the foods they tend to give their children: canned foods, sweet drinks, candy and foods high in sugars and fats. On the other hand, parents who were well learned fed the most advisable foods to their children.

This issue seemed to be a great deal and was made known to loads of people. The healthy family Nutrition saw into it that the information was published.

A study author from the University of Zaragoza in Spain, Juan Miguel Fernandez Alvira; said that the difference between parents with different levels of education are observed using fruit consumption, vegetables and canned drinks. This is seen all over the world. The reason behind this theory is that, the income generated from the low and middle families does not fend well for that family. They would rather get canned food that doubles in amount when cooked and goes at a cheaper price.

Why are processed unhealthy?

The processed foods are not advisable for children as their bodies are still in the process of growing and need body building foods rather than foods with fats. These foods are easily broken down into sugars and later on stored as fats in the body. When these fats continue increasing in the body, the children grow obese and begin acquiring adult problems.

Prevention has always been better than cure. The funds put into programs that deal with obese children are quite high. These funds could be used to do other activities that might have helped the less fortunate families improve their living standards. The funds that are used in preventing obesity in children are normally used to buy more nutritious fruits and vegetables. The money is donated to the poor families as well as to some middle class families, both economically and socially.

Researchers worldwide have made aware that almost 40 million kids that are aged 5 are very obese. That is something that needs to be monitored by parents in co-ordination with the nutritionists. The World Health Organization approves it.
