At the American Academy of CPR and First Aid, we provide two options for hands-on CPR Skills testing based on your convenience and availability.

Blended Hands-On CPR:


This approach blends online learning with hands-on skills practice at your location. Here's how it works:

  • Registration: Click Here to register or login.
  • CPR Course: Review the course.
  • Exam: Pass the online exam with a score of 85% or higher.
  • Get Manikin: Order and get a manikin delivered to your location for practical CPR training.
  • Schedule Live Session: Once you receive the manikin, schedule a live virtual session with a certified CPR instructor.
  • Skills Assessment: The instructor evaluates your hands-on CPR skills during the live session. To pass the course, you must successfully complete this component.
  • Certification: Upon passing the hands-on CPR skills test, you receive a digital certification.

In-Person Hands-On CPR Skills Testing

If you prefer in-person learning, we offer traditional CPR training with face-to-face instruction and hands-on practice. If a location for in-person training isn't accessible, our Blended Hands-On CPR Training can serve as an ideal alternative. Here's how the In-Person Hands-On CPR Training works:

  • Exam: Pass the online exam with a score of 85% or higher.
  • Schedule a Session: Contact the evaluator to arrange a date and time for your in-person CPR skills check.
  • Evaluation Competency Checklist: After booking an appointment, both the user and the instructor will receive a QR code via email containing the hands-on CPR skills competency checklist.
  • Skills Assessment: During this session, your practical skills will be assessed. You must pass this hands-on component to successfully complete the course.
  • Certification: Upon passing the hands-on CPR skills testing, you'll receive a digital certification.

Hands-On CPR Skills Tested Process

2 CPR Course: Study and review the course material.
3 Pass the Exam: Score 85% or higher on the exam.
4 Manikin Delivery: Get the manikin delivered to your location for hands-on CPR practice.
5 Scheduling of Live Hands-On Session: After receiving the manikin, schedule a live session with a certified CPR instructor for the hands-on component of the course.
6 Hands-On Skills Assessment: During the live session, the instructor assesses the practical skills using a competency checklist. You must pass this hands-on component to successfully complete the course.
7 Certification: After passing the hands-on CPR skills testing, a digital certification is issued.
