American Academy of CPR and First Aid, Inc. is currently the only online CPR certification provider with courses and exams authored by a practicing, board certified physician. Our goal is to help you save lives, not to simply manufacture certificates. When the moment of truth comes where you are asked to save a life, we want you to have the knowledge and skills of board certified doctors on your side.
The term "accreditation" is an often-misunderstood term in the CPR industry. No organization exists that provides a national endorsement or accreditation to any CPR course provider. The American Heart Association cannot approve, endorse, or give accreditation for CPR training for any other organization.
Each first aid certification provider is free to construct their own curriculum, standards, and teaching methods based on the ECC/ILCOR guidelines. American Academy of CPR & First Aid, Inc, courses strictly follow the ECC/ILCOR guidelines.
Our courses allow you to work at your own pace. Take as long as you need to review the course material and complete the exam. There are no time restrictions on taking the exam or reading the course.
After passing the online quiz, you will be able to immediately print your certification and wallet card right from you home or office printer. You could also request the certificates to be mailed for a low shipping cost.
Should you lose your wallet card or certificate, you can go to "contact us" page and request a replacement certificate. If the certificate was purchased from American Academy of CPR & First aid, Inc, and that requested replacement certificate has not expired, then your certificate could be replaced for a low cost of $6.99 ($19.99 for international shipping).
The length of validity depends on the course and is set by regulating bodies. Your CPR and First Aid certifications are valid for 2 years from the date of issue on your wallet card. Your Blood Borne Pathogens certification is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.
Certification requirements can be different for various states, institutions, and employers. Our courses and exams are widely accepted, developed by Board Certified doctors, and endorsed by medical professionals. Our curriculum is compliant with the guidelines of OSHA, and are ECC (Emergency Cardiovascular Care) compliant. If for any reason your certification is not accepted, we will offer a refund of your certification purchase.
All of our courses and exams are FREE. There is no cost to learn the course material or take the exam. One you complete the exam and pass the test, you may purchase a certification to document your competence for your employer, organization, or state and/or to fulfill continuing education requirements.
