CPR techniques
Technique on a child using one hand compression Child Chest Compression Technique:

Position yourself at the victim's side

Victim should be on back - if trauma is suspected STABILIZE THE NECK and then roll on his/her back

Remove the clothing

One-hand technique: Place the heel of a hand in between the nipples on the center of the chest/breast bone

(Two hand technique) Place the heel of the other hand on top of the first hand

With straight arms and shoulder (elbow locked at 180 degrees), directly over your hands (90 degrees to the chest), start compression

Push hard and fast at a rate of 100 compressions per minute

Push 2 inches or 1/3 depth of the chest

After each compression allow the chest to return to original position
