The "Save a Life" Scholarship
Supporting Future Healthcare & Education Professionals

At American Academy of CPR & First Aid, Inc., we believe that learning CPR and First Aid can make a life-saving difference. Through our "Save a Life" Scholarship, we proudly support students pursuing careers in healthcare and education who are committed to improving the health, safety, and well-being of their communities.

Whether your goal is to become a doctor, nurse, therapist, teacher, or another dedicated professional, this scholarship is designed to help you continue your education and achieve your career aspirations.

Scholarship Award

The Save a Life Scholarship awards $1,500 to eligible students twice each year.

  • Spring Scholarship Award: $1,500
  • Fall Scholarship Award: $1,500

Each scholarship is awarded to a different student to recognize academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to serving others.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Be currently enrolled, or planning to enroll within the next academic year, at an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Pursue a degree in Healthcare or Education.
  • Provide their current GPA.
  • Submit a current academic transcript or proof of future enrollment.
  • Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply again.

Students pursuing related healthcare fields—including mental health, healthcare administration, nonprofit healthcare, and similar disciplines—are encouraged to explain how their chosen field contributes to healthcare or education.

  • A 750–1,000 word essay describing:
    • Your career goals.
    • Why you chose your field of study.
    • How you plan to improve healthcare or education.
    • What inspired your passion for serving others.
  • A copy of your latest academic transcript.

  • A letter of acceptance from an accredited U.S. college or university if you are an incoming student.

Scholarship Deadlines

Applications are accepted twice each year.

  • Spring Deadline: May 1
  • Fall Deadline: October 1

Late submissions will be considered for the next available scholarship cycle.

Winners are generally announced approximately 30 days after each scholarship deadline.

Finalist essays may be featured on our website or social media channels. Scholarship winners will be recognized with their first name, city, state, and award information.
