CPR on COVID-19 Positive or Suspected Patients

Child / Infant CPR On COVID-19:

  • Cover the victim’s mouth and nose with a face mask or a cloth to prevent the spread to the bystander. Covering on the mouth and nose is recommended during the chest compression phase.
  • If the rescuer is a household member who has already been exposed to the victim at home, then start chest compression followed by mouth to mouth ventilation (preferably with CPR face shield with filter).

Child and Infant CPR on COVID-19

If the victim is COVID-19 negative or not suspected, then standard CPR algorithm is recommended.
