The numbers behind the figures being stated<\/h2>\n

Government records indicate that the total number of children who are having allergic reactions on their skin has increased over the years.<\/p>\n

The one thing that stood out is that allergies affecting the respiratory system became more dominant as the family\u2019s financial situation dwindled. A majority of the kids living in poverty constituted the highest number of people affected.<\/p>\n

LaJeana Howie, a personnel from NCHS (U. S National Center for Health Statistics), stated that the last 14 years has witnessed a considerate increase in food and skin allergic reaction dominance among children. She added that the pattern was continuous and didn\u2019t change at all through the graph.<\/p>\n

The total rate in food allergies was seen to move from 3.4% to about 5.1% from the year 1997 for to 2011. On the other hand, skin allergies<\/a> shifted from 7.4% to 12.5% over the same period of time. Respiratory allergies predominance remained unchanged similarly over the same duration of 14 years. Respiratory allergies also managed to be recorded by NCHS, in 2nd<\/sup> May, as the only type of allergy that affected youngsters more frequently.<\/p>\n

It was noted that racial diversity, age and income played an important role in the study of food, skin allergic reaction in children. This was evident since some races were more likely to be affected than others. It was also true for age since older children showed more immunity as compared to young ones.<\/p>\n

Respiratory and any other type of allergy is considered very serious and can be fatal if not monitored. It has become a public concern that scientist and researchers alike are trying to figure out in order to avoid any more fatalities.<\/p>\n

A lot of pediatrician attested to this statistics having witnessed them in their field of practice while handling children. Unfortunately, none of the doctors had any idea as to why there was such an increase being experienced among children, especially those from low income families.<\/p>\n

Theories used in food, skin allergic reaction study<\/h2>\n

\u2018Hygiene hypothesis\u2019, a medical theory, was the only explanation that they could come up with. This is a theory that states that fewer exposures to infection due to cleanliness often leave the immune system of a person idle. This then prompts the antibodies to fight off innocent proteins after failing to find germs and bacteria to fend off.<\/p>\n

The other logical theory is based on the fact that the body might lack sufficient Vitamin D. Existence of unhealthy fats in the body is also considered a factor that contributes to allergic reactions in children.<\/p>\n

According to Dr. Scott Sicherer, the findings are as real as daylight and only extensive research can help bring a solution to the table. He added that they were aggressively working on various programs that would help introduce a cure and prevention system.
