Universal Autism Screening

There was a strong emotion bursting from the doctors handling child development, this is according to the influential task force that hands autism. They say that there is enough proof to show that there are really advantages that come along in screening young kids for autism and they outweigh the harmful effects. There is no enough proof however for the experts that suggests they go for or against the screening in kids for autism for those who are below 30 months old. There is no correct answer for this. The findings that were used to check the kids from ages eighteen months to thirty months who have not shown any symptoms of the disorder were posted in the JAMA.

However, some of the health workers worry about the position that may end up in missing the chances of the doctors to provide early involvement that may detect and treat autism right away at an early age. The spectrum of the autism disorder is a progressive disability that may bring social, behavioral and communication trials and it shows to be rising. 1 in every 45 kids was detected with autism in 2014, while 1 in every 68 was detected in 2014, 1 in every 150 was detected in 2000.  The parents of the kids with ASD usually discover some issues in the development of the child before it celebrates its 1st birthday. The kids usually show some signs of social, fine motor skills and communication differences during the first 6 months of life.

What the tests has to say?

It is a fact that most of the research showed that the earlier you interfere with the development issues of the kids that include autism, the better the result will be for the child.  This is according to Dreyer; he is the president of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a practicing Pedia in NYC. Even if much is still undetermined, what you do not know is that the screening actually works. Early interference is actually good for the child.

The members of the team say that they are not against screening at an early age. The tests include some list of questions for the parents and this is about the behavior of their child. The truth is that they have discovered that there is enough amount of proof that showed how the screening actually works in knowing the range of autism in kid’s ages 18 months to 30 months old. The researchers have noted that the risks of the screening at this early stage of life are quite low.
